Used it once before breaking, June 21, 2009 By This review is from: Rowenta GS4010 Pro Compact Garment Steamer I bought this and used it only once and the hose broke. I contacted Rowenta's service center. They told me it would cost over $25.00 for a replacement (plus shipping and handling). Save your money.

Amazing, September 22, 2010 By This review is from: Rowenta GS4010 Pro Compact Garment Steamer I've never used a steamer before but I love this one! Really easy to use, very lightweight ans compact. I find it impossible to iron women's dress shirts, shaped skirts, etc. but this steamer makes it really easy. You just hang up the article of clothing and run the brush over it to steam out all the wrinkles.

I believe she paid about $20 for it and we were excited to give it a try. For the first half a dozen or so times we used it, it seemed to work fairly well. But after that, we started to have the same issues as other people were. The hose leaked where it connected to the base, and would often pop loose too.
I bought a couple large rubber o-rings and put one between the hose connector and the base, and also jammed a penny in next to the clip that holds the hose on, so the hose would not come loose. It works, and it doesn't really leak any more, but obviously this is a band-aid on a poor product.
